Hi Everyone.
I've got a 2009 Citroen Berlingo Multispace xtr.
It has a few issues but is running 'ok'. It will need a new clutch this year. And possibly a new fuse box. Other than that we have new baby and a big dog and like camping so the versatility and ecomical fuel consumption is what attracted us.

But I'm not over the moon about the impractical interior design or the engine.

Unplugged Cables

I have a 2009 Multispace which I bought in Feb 2016.

Hi All I discovered two cables under the bonnet with plugs attached which at not connected to anything but do not connect together.
My head lights aren't functioning at the moment but main citreon dealer says that is a fuse box issue which he confirmed by swapping the fuse box out to try.

Does anyone know what these cables are for or where they should be plugged in.
Images attached.
Thanks.

Hi,

I have berlingo with WJZ engine (diesel) with lucas ve fuel pump R8445B350B.
The engine performance are great but when i very litle push my foot on the gas peddle
the engine gets hessitation + drops white smoke at the back.

This happend to me on the street when i try to drive slow
or in a traffic jam.

On a freeway no problem at all.

The engine and the pump has been recentrly replaced.
The are from wrecked car that drove around 50K miles.

I think this problem is related to computer calibration or Injection adjance by crankshaft speed.
How to work it out ?

Sliding door rattle

I asked once before and cannot find a recent thread on the subject, can any one advise. Stuffing a rag in the sliding mechanism seems to help but there must be something better than that; rubber washers around the sockets on the arms is suggested but that does not look an easy job.

Factory-fitted stereo

Hi all

After leaving the lights on for a few hours, the battery on the car went dead.  On getting it sorted, the stereo was asking for the radio code.  Having entered the code, the radio comes on but beeps every five seconds before switching off and asking for the code a few minutes later.  Other than replacing, does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks

Where is the speedo sensor on my 2.0Hdi UK

This is problem one of those things when you know it is obvious.
I have what I understand is a common problem on my Berlingo 2004 2.0HDI.
Sometimes the speedo works others it does not.
I have bought the sensor but can't find where it goes.
I thought it would go underneath the gearbox to one side and I could change it from under the car.
But I have had it on a ramp and just can't find it.
If anyone has a photo or diagram that would be really useful. Thanks.

MyDS iPhone App

Greetings. Big Grin

I've just taken ownership of a new 1.6 Blue something something something Berlingo.

We refer to it as the Bling-Go! I have a disco ball hanging from the rear-view mirror for added 'Bling' (you've heard that one before right Wink

Anyway... when plugging an iPhone into it the car suggests I download an app called MyDS from Citroen.

Having done that it refuses to accept the VIN number and I'm guessing thats because it's not for a Citroen DS.

Does anyone have any experience with the Citroen app or any other app related advice?

Many thanks,
Chad

footnote: I can't RTFM without learning Spanish as I'm in Ibiza.

Hi all,

According to the chart I have, there are two recommend oils for my car.

Total Quartz 9000 5W40
Total Quartz INEO ECS 5W30

There's not much difference in price (£1 per litre)

So the simple question i have is which is better and why ?

Hi, I have a 2007 1.9D and am having problems with the locks. the passenger key is just spinning, the rear door lock is seized. the key that works the driver door will open the fuel cap but there is a different key to start it(a complete mess). Also, how would I know if there should be central locking as each door has to be locked individually??? Should there be wires going to each lock? Is it possible to install central locking??
TIA..

Hi all,
I am sure this subject has been covered before but i cant find relevant thread. Heater blower on my 06 mk2 HDI multispace desire will only work on speeds 3 and 4. It has aircon fitted . I understand that i need to change resistor pack but am unsure as to correct location. Is it straightforward to remove or is there a specific way of getting in and doing it. Thanks in advance

Berlingo B9 from Portugal

Hello everybody!

My name is Nuno Soares and I am from Portugal. For anyone who doesn't know, it's NOT a part of Spain Tongue
In November 2014 I bought a 2009 Berlingo Multispace. Bought this van because it can transport a family of five (it has five real seats) and, when needed, it can turn itself into a full size cargo van.
Bought It with 74000 Km and it's reaching 104000 Km and, besides the normal services, only the windscreen washer pump had to be replaced.
It is now giving me a ABS, ESP and ASR error, but it's already been diagnosed as a malfunctioning switch that stays behind the break pedal. I'm just waiting for the part to arrive to get it replaced.
Besides that, no problems at all, so as you can imagine, I'm very happy with it.

This was the van as I bought it, only had added the roof bars and the wind deflectors...

.jpg   11039244_841268619326375_2982769887190405666_n.jpg (Size: 125.03 KB / Downloads: 3)

Since I bought it, I've made a few changes and got some aditions, to get it a little more usable and unique. The major changes were:

> Added a custom boot rubber carpet, so I won't damage the original one.
> Installed roof bars (don't really know if that model didn't bring them or if the previous owner removed them).
> Added wind deflectors on the front doors.
> Replace all the exterior lights with SMD ones, except the front fog lights, blinkers and licence plate lights. The blinkers weren't replaced because I can't find ones that won't blink faster as if some of them were blown and the licence plate lights were replaced, but they keep on blowing leds, so I kind of gave up. The front fog lights I didn't replace yet because I'm thinking about replacing the whole set with ones that have DRL included.
The H4 CREE kit I use is very good, not as good as Xenon, but brighter that stock halogen. I'm not using Xenon because here it's not easy to get it legal...
> Replaced all the interior lights with SMD ones.
> Replaced the tail lights with the tainted ones from the 2012 on models.
> Replaced the stock stereo (the CD player never worked) with an 2DIN Android one, with GPS, Bluetooth, DVD, etc.
Needed to buy a stalk adapter in order to maintain the steering wheel controls and the reverse sensors working.
> Added a reverse camera (connected to the new stereo).
> Added a driving camera (connected to the new stereo).
> Lowered the van, using H&R springs.
> Got the original wheels repaired and painted black.
> Got the roof bars painted black to match the wheels.
> Got wheel spacers, 20mm back, 16mm front.
> Added black surroundings to the licence plates.

All the updates and changes were made or installed by me (except the lowering springs), so if you are thinking about doing anything like them to your van, I'll be glad to help!

So, this is the van now...

And that's it! Next projects are...

> Replace broken right wheel arch (already have a almost new one, just waiting for the clips to arrive).
> Install an amplifier and subwoofer (custom box already made, just figuring out how to get the battery wire trough the firewall).
> Replace the original speakers.
> Replace fog lights with CREE or Xenon, and DRL.
> Add two headrest screens, connected to the new stereo.

Another clutch thread

My clutch is very heavy for the last few inches on the downward movement and has to be pushed the whole way to the floor to get gears, also the peddle has only to be lifted about a quarter of an inch to engage.
The previous owner has told me that a new clutch and cable were fitted recently,
I could put up with the heavy clutch but I am wondering if there is a way of adjusting the cable so that the peddle has to be lifted higher before the van moves?? Huh
