Hey up guys my berlingo had the dw8 straight d lump in it and someone has bypassed the factory fuel filter I've now replaced it with a brand new housing and filter etc but air is leaking back to the tank and the primer bulb doesn't go rock hard unless you take of thebinjector leak of pipe from the fuel filter housing lid and blank where it goes into the fillter then the plunger goes hard after a few pumps but the plunger itsself is wet with diesel any help would be fantastic it ran fine with the bodged bypass filter etc can't see any leaks anywear so I'm thinking maybe one of the leakoff pipes isn't sealing and it's letting air in when it was bypassed the leak off that fits to the filter housing lid was blanked off any help would be great thanks

Retrofitting water in fuel/diesel sensor (1.6HDi, M59, 9HXC engine)

Hi all,

I like data, so decided to retrofit a water in diesel/fuel sensor that is screwed to the fuel filter. I did not have one before. It needs to be activated in Lexia (Citroen) or PP2000 (Peugeot). I am not writing a full description as I made a video of the whole procedure. The link is below. The video is for a Peugeot Partner (a badge difference), 1.6HDi, 92bhp, 9HXC engine, 20007.
The part number for the water in diesel sensor is: 191311

If something is not clear, let me know and I can put some more info. Hopefully it will be useful to somebody.

Tailgate won't latch or lock

Any ideas? It means the car won't lock. I've WD40'd the latch so I know it moves fully to the locked position. But even if I rotate it to the locked position the key button or the key in the door won't lock the car. The locks click on all the doors so I know the locking system is working apart from the tailgate.

Central Locking fixed (would not unlock)

Pleased to say I have fixed my central locking problem .
The symptoms where this .The unlock button on the key fob would only make the indicators flash no action from locks ,The lock button on the key fob would just lock the side doors ,the tailgate and front doors could only be locked or unlocked with the key.I checked the wiring and decided that the problem was with the bsi unit .I had already removed it and cleaned up the slight corrosion on the board but it was no better. The next thing I checked where the relays on the upper board of the bsi.To do this you need to separate the two boards and use a file to clean the varnish from the relay pins the resistance of the relay coil should be 80 to 100 ohms, I found One relays coil was open circuit ,I removed the relay from a donor bsi I got from ebay and replaced the faulty one. The locks now work perfectly all doors lock and unlock[Image: shy.png] I hope the photos explain the fix better then I can

Brake issues

After some grinding on the way to work this week I removed the rear drums today. Still a couple of mm left of the linings but would require changing within a few weeks. Reassembled new shoes ordered and cylinder as one was weeping slightly. Debris removed no grinding drives fine, trip to Euro parts all pagid stuff so decent kit. Strip down changed all shoes and new cylinder. Bleed brakes top up reservoir bleed again no air bubbles but brake pedal hits the floor!!! I then look at forums and see about eezibleed so borrow one from neighbour who assists with cracking bleed screws etc. Again pedal gains pressure but short lived and no brakes. So after what had taken an hour and half it's no nearly 4 hours with no joy from bleeding. I will now have to wait until I get time to try and resolve. I will now chock the front to elevate the reservoir and look at the loading valve on axle (any images to assist in correct position etc). Any further advice welcome and I will update as soon as I have had another attempt.  Undecided

heater part

Hi was working on my vehicle over the weekend, and seem to have cracked, what i can only describe as a black plastic case, that bolts onto the back of the engine, just above the driveshaft/engine mounting, the heater pipes seem to run into this, there was an immediate deluge of water, and obviously its broken, it is not the heater matrix, on the bulkhead, but is situated at the back of the engine, does anyone know what this part is, and what it is called?

ABS Module - HELP!

Guys,

This is my first post. I'm desperately needing some help with an ABS module issue on my 2008 1.6HDI (ABS ECU no:- 0 265 800 738).
The module is giving issues and randomly locks up different brakes - a new module (or repair) is required.

Due to the type of board inside the module only two companies in the UK can repair (one of these only deals with garages).
I assumed that I could get a module from a scrappie - how wrong was I!!

Surely with all the Berlingos, Partners and other Citroens like Xsaras on the road who use the same module there's a work around??
I tried a newer module with ECU 0 265 801 739 but when trying to connect with the software couldn't get it to communicate.

Can anyone help me as my van been off the road for 6wks due to this!!

Wiper function problem

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 1.9d berlingo and i'm having problems with the wiper function:

When I push the stalk down to "0" for "one sweep, on demand as and when required" it continually sweeps for 4-5 sweeps then stops in the middle of the windscreen, they don't return to park position at the bottom.

When I pull the stalk up to "I" for intermittent it continually sweeps for 4-5 sweeps then stops in the middle of the windscreen, they don't stop/start intermittently, they don't return to park position at the bottom either.

When I move up to "Speed 1" they'll sweep for 4-5-6 sweeps then stop in the middle of the screen and this is the same for "Speed 2"

Anyone else had this problem? what sort of fix would I be looking at? Some sort of Body Control Unit? ECU reset?

Thanks in advance

Hi

Just got myself a little gem, a.k.a the Bombus Beater.
My base requirements was black, petrol and glass in the rear doors,
not an easy task in a world dominated by white, diesel ones.

But after some struggle I found one.
It's a 2004 with 143000km/88800miles on the clock.
It's gonna be my weapon of choice for commute and A->B drives.

Any ambition's?
Ohhh, yeah, way more than I'm actually gonna do.
But replace the 14" steelies with 15" for the winter tyres is more than a plan.
And a set of 17" for the summer rubber would be yummy....

I need a second hand front suspension strut for my 2004 2.0 hdi berlingo.
Looking on ebay and not many for the 2.0. but plenty for the 1.6 and 1.9. Are they all the same or does it have to be a 2.0 one?
Thanks.

hi all, newbie here.

bought a 2009 1.6hdi van, it had been stood for around 4 weeks and the battery was totally flat! I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the radio to come to life, or even how to program the date / time (the display is just flashing with January 2007). also to throw into the mix it has an aftermarket sat nav wired into the speakers somehow, this does work and the voice plays through the speakers.

any help would be much appreciated

Hi All,
Just swapped my aging  03 kangoo work bus for a 2012 1.6hdi berlingo mulispace 75bhp. Hoping that it proves to be just as reliable for plodding to and from work and carrying my mountain bikes around. I love my stereo so an install is definitely first on the mods list to be done as well as a remap for some more much needed horses.

First off this is for sale as REPAIRS OR SPARES it is running and ok
It has been classed as a Cat (N) N: Non-structurally damaged repairable

the only reason am selling is it had a bump on the back rear nothing major it is road worthy just the rear panel crumpled as can be seen in picture's it doe's not effect the driving at all I have been driving it up to yesterday 3rd November 2017 it is now sorned and off the road it will need re-taxing and insuring if sold

it still has a MOT till next year November 2018 as it was not long MOT'ed before the accident it drive nice and does 55mpg I used it for towing my caravan a lot and got about 42mpg since owning it It has 138517 miles on it

in 2016
I had 2 new tyres fitted in 9/9/16 front
I had new timing belt and water pump and auxiliary belt fitted in 9/9/16
The same day pick it up from the garage got 2 miles from home the dam bloody clutch went so has new clutch fitted 9/9/16
since then I had other things done but can't rest of the paper work

This year 14/8/17 I spent another 400.00 on it
Fitted new disc and pads
Two rear back tyre's fitted
New exhaust fitted from front to back costing 125.00
it had a service as well included
plus the cost of labour
and also it had a new gear linkage fitted too costing 116.00

so it's up for sale as spare's or repair but can still go back on the road if you can live with the bump as seen in the picture it's not as bad as it look's really
ideal starter car for someone it will go for some more miles yet like I said I wanted something with a bit more power for towing now I have got another car for that perpose I need this car gone really

in all its been all ok until I had this accident I put in over 12 months owning it

I need it gone now I am flexible with price so open to offer's

Three or four modules?

$

0
I have a Partner Tepee Outdoor, with much the same gear as found on an XTR.  I have recently noticed that I have four module blanks just above the electric mirror control and the headlamp adjustment.  I am aware that the Parking switch or other options, where specified, are usually located here.
My question is: Why do some vehicle appear to have a three module enclosure instead of four?  I have spotted some vehicles, the same colour, and model as mine, registered around the same time, but they have a three module enclosure above the mirror switch.
Can anyone explain this?
